TOMIC - Challenge 10 Masking

Hope you all had a fabulous weekend. Thanks for dropping by. There's another challenge on over on  TOMIC  Wow, Challenge 10 already, where has the time gone - This week we are asking for MASKING. I hope you will join in, if you need some help, Camilla has made a step by step tutorial for you and don't forget Magnolia Sweden will send a lucky Maggie lover a surprise package selected by random.

 I know I need lots of practice, I normally cut my images out then pop them up on foam tape for dimension. I inked up some old favourites from the Bon Voyage Collection. I love to shop as most girls do, so I couldn't resist these adorable stamps.

Rose Leaf & Heart Swirl - Doohickey Dies

Hope you are having a wonderful week. I've had this card half finished on my desk for a while. I love this rich paper from Prima, it's Christmas range, but I thought it would work well for the vintage look I was after.

I cut both the suitcase and Tilda out to give some dimension, hope you can see it in this photo.

I've coloured with both Copics and Prisma Pencils.

The frame is by Tim Holtz

and the flowers are a mixture of handmade & from Wild Orchid Crafts.

All other dies are from MFT & Spellbinders.

Inside I've used the very versatile Magnolia Loving Border Stamp from the You are so Special Collection. The pocket can be used for a rubber stamp, chocolate, gift card or tag with a special message.

Hello Everyone,

OMG, where has the month gone, I am long overdue posting this card,  with the overhaul of my craft room, I've been neglecting my poor blogging friends. I do hope you'll forgive me. It's surprising how much we accumulate over time, I've found things I had forgotten about and some still in the packaging (am I bad lol). I will post a few pics when my room when is finished.

Anyways on to my card. I bought this adorable Maggie a while ago, I coloured her up, but she has been waiting patiently for a new home and thought it was about time especially with the arrival of the new Rainbow Collection soon, more wonderful rubber to play with.

Wow, I don't know where September went, I'm sorry I haven't been by to visit your blogs or replied to any of your wonderful comments, I've been in and out of hospital and will be for the next few months. My blogging will have to take a back seat for a while, but please know, I will be back and I thank each and everyone one of you for taking time to visit.

The stamps are from Magnolia's Bon Voyage Collection - Tilda goes Shopping & Boutique Window. I love to shop as most girls do, so I couldn't resist these adorable stamps.

For dimension I made a Shadow Box Card (here is a tutorial). I stamped the Boutique on acetate to represent the window, and of course I had to have the new Tim Holtz embossing folders when they first came out, but this is the first time I have used the brick embossing folder, perfect for these stamps, I smothered the bricks with crackled paint, added a diamond & pearls swirl a gift from the gorgeous Stephanne.

I wanted my Boutique to look like a very exensive high end jewellery store, and I think it would fit in nicely in Rodeo Drive.

At last I have something to show you, I have so many fabulous Magnolia Stamps to play with and have not been well enough to play with them. Anyways, at long last I have a card to show you.
