Sweet Tilda Birthday Style

Happy Saturday Stampers,

I just wanted to thank you all for your congrats and sweet comments re my excitement of becoming a Magnolia DT. I received serveral hundred emails and have been trying to stop by your blogs to thank you.

Wow, it has been almost a week since posting a project, I have had my sick Mum staying with me, anyways yes another Easel Card. I wanted it to be bright & springy, with so many of my blogging friends living in colder parts of the world, I know they are so looking forward to Spring. Here in Australia it has been so hot I am looking forward to Winter, anyways, this fits the following challenges
Magnolia-licious March Home Page Challenge - Bright
Everybody Art Challenge - Easel Cards
Cute Card Thursday - Ribbon-Tastic
A Spoon Full of Sugar - Distress Inks or Pearls & Glitter
This is Sweet Tilda from Magnolia's - Raising the Ceiling and  Right Through my Heart Collection, Sweet Tilda a perfect name for her don't you think. Happy Birthday text by Hero Arts and sentiment is from Stamp It. I've coloured her with Copics, airbrushed the background with some buttery yellow to given her a little glow and added some stickles here and there to give her a little sparkle. The gorgeous papers are by Kaisercraft and of course my much loved flowers & silk bows are a must.

Magnolia Down Under Challenge # 35 - Easter - it is not my turn this week, but you must see what the Design Team have come up with. their creations are amazing. Simon Says is the sponsor this week, woohoo, you can win a $25 shopping voucher. Big news Magnolia Down Under Challenges has moved to Blogger here is the new link, please remember to add the new address to your favourites. You don't need Easter Stamps to enter, but please remember you must use a Magnolia Stamp even if it is only a sentiment stamp

If you are thinking of buying some Magnolia Stamps, don't put it off too long... Kellie at Magnolia Down Under Store has reopened and is having a sale, this includes the adorable new Hoppy Easter Collection, stop by and see all the goodies she now stocks including some delish flowers, but hurry the sale ends soon.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have time to fit in some stamping over the weekend and again thanks for all your wonderful comments and emails. Have a great weekend. Big hugs Jodie from Oz

Pretty in Pink - Oops I forgot

Happy Thursday Everyone,

Magnolia-licious Highlites Design Team have inspired me once again. They have put on a wonderful Pretty in Pink display of amazing creations. Thanks Ladies, you are all so talented and it was so wonderful to see Lady Diana join in and see her amazing creation. I had so much fun and thanks for the inspiration.

I decided to join in and this is my entry Magnolia-licious Highlites Pretty in Pink Blog hop challenge.

I've also joined
Simon Says Stamp Challenge this week is PUNCH IT - the Design Team have some wonderful creations so full of inspiration. I love my border punches, I have used an EK Success border punch, this is a favourite of mine.

Papertake Weekly Challenge - Pretty Pink Papertake
You can use other colours but need to be mostly pink - I think this should qualify.

I hope this qualifies with all the layers added.

Creative Card Crew - Challenge 43 - Punch It
I have used EK Success border punch for the scallop border.

Another Easel card you say, I know you are probably sick of seeing them, I started to think maybe I should stop making so many, but than I thought it is no different to making regualar square cards, I always decorate the inside of my card, but not always straight away and when I need to send it, I can't find the same dp I used, with Easel cards they are finished at the same time as the front and with only one surface to cover.

I made this card for someone special, hope she likes it. I have used one of my very favourite Tilda's, Oops from Magnolia's Yummy for your Tummy Collection and the bow with hearts from the new Winter Stamp kit, I know I will use this one a lot. I've used copics, cut the word Oops using my Cricut, smothered  in glittery goodness. Sentiment is from Inkadinkadoo. EK success punch for the border (one of my faves),  ribbon & flowers from stash. DP Anna Griffin. Spellbinders Tag. I made the matching gift bag with my much loved & used Spellbinders label and again EK punch, filled it was some gorgeous flowers.

Birdhouse Christmas Card

Hello Friends,

Challenge entered - Magnolia-licious
Cheryl Rowley picked the challenge this month  - to create cards that are anything BUT a square or rectangle.  So that means any other shaped card will work for this challenge!! Hope this qualifies!!!

I have entered this card at Just Magnolia - It's Christmas
& it can be anything Christmassy

Another quick post today, I made this Birdhouse Christmas card for my Parents, they live on a property backing on to a 100 hectare Reserve with lots of wildlife. Dad loves birds and likes spotting the different types of birds. He always has handy his bird book and binoculars.  I wanted to make something a little different for them this year and when the wonderful Magnolia Ink Magazine was released with the tutorial and pattern to make this little beauty I had to give it a go. Hope they like it.

60's Tilda

Happy Wednesday Everyone,

Hope everyone is having a fabulous week and finding some time to fit in some craft time. I am just loving the Yummy for Your Tummy Collection and find colouring these adorable Magnolia Stamps so relaxing.

This was a quick card, no layers, just cut out and popped up with dimensionals. Hoping this qualifies as a CAS card, as I was thinking these 2 Magnolia stamps don't need any extra embellies, they are sweet enough by themselves. I have entered it in the Magnolia-licious Blog Hop CAS Challenge.

This card is dedicated to Diana Crick from Magnolia-licious Store. I was lucky enough to win these delicious stamps  for the September Challenge over at Magnolia-licious Highlites - Anything but a Card. Thank you so much for your genorisity Diana.

I mentioned in one of my previous posts, I needed to hide my RED Copics, well it succeeded for a little while.

The computer does not display the true colours very well, but they are red, cream & chocolate.

I coloured 60's Tilda & Tin Boxes with my Copics, airbrushed the background. Added a little sparkle to Tilda's spots with Diamond Stickles and some Diamond Glaze to the glass jar. Used my favourite Cosmo Cricket Early Bird Papers. Lacy Border is from Martha Stewart double dot border punch. Cut the card with my Cricut, love the shaped cards. Ribbon from stash.

Another Easel Card

Happy Sunday Everyone,

Hope you all join in the challenge, remember you don't have to use a Tilda or Edwin, as long as you use a Magnolia Stamp. This month the fantastic sponsor is Gabby from The Soap Dish with some Yummie Handmade Soap. You will want to stock up on this beautiful soap, makes the perfect Christmas gift.

This is my 2nd Easel Card and I am loving it. I will be making a lot more in the future. I decorate the inside of my cards, making an Easel card saves time & paper, now I only have to decorate one side. Template here & directions here. I resized my card to 6"x6". Thanks to Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge & Suzanne Dean.

My Niece is turning 21 in a few weeks and she is a really girly girl, so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to make a her a card with a shabby girly twist. I used Magnolia Tilda with Lilac's. Thought she was perfect for this paper I bought a few years ago fback when I was scrapbooking. I stamped her out 3 times and cut parts of her to add some dimension. I coloured her with my Copics, masked her, airbrushed the background a little, added some diamond stickles, diamond glaze & a little flower soft on the lilacs. I have a wonderful distressing kit I purchased a while back from Making Memories, I mainly use the distressing edger and sanding block, perfect for this challenge.

I just received my first delivery of flowers from Bizzy Bec's and they are the most beautiful flowers ever, thanks Bec.

Magnolia Tilda with Lilac's, Flowers from Bizzy Bec's, Bow Easy & Silk Ribbon from Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, Border Punch - Ek Success, Happy - cut with my Cricut - Lyrical Letters, 21 - Justrite Stamps, DP - Susan Branch, CS American Crafts, Spellbinders Nesties, Stickles.

Hope you will stop by & see what the other Design Team Members have created for you! Thanks for joining this wonderful challenge, I can't wait to see what you come up with & hope to see you join us again next challenge.

Pre-Order the new Magnolia Christmas Collection now. So Jolly & Under the Mistletoe, this collection is just adorable and the Christmas papers are stunning.

Happy 50th

I couldn't decide between an A2 size & 6 x 6 card, so I made both.
I gave my friend the A2 size and kept the other as a sample. I secretly could not part with this being my first Tilda card.

This card was made for a lady I work with, we have only worked together for a short time, but we get clicked from day one. I can't believe she is turning 50, she looks like she is still in her early 40's.
Happy Birthday Jo, hope your day is as special as you are.

COPICS - I took the plunge & purchased these copic markers in August, I kept putting them off thinking another fad, these new markers will probably sit keeping all my other markers company that I have not used for years. Wow, how wrong was I, I love them, they are so addictive, I want more. They take time to learn how to blend but worth it. Of course, I could not stop there, I needed some stamps to colour with and I decided to buy the cute adorable Magnolia stamps.

I was lucky to find the Magnolia-licious Yahoo group and love to drool over all the talented members projects and have just started to participate in some of their challenges.
